Because our year 9 group are now commencing their 3rd year in Criw Celf, a number of them will be undertaking their Arts Award as part of their Criw Celf journey this year. They will be working with just three artists over the course of the year. In November, they spent two consecutive days at Ruthin Craft Centre, exploring the wonderful wallpaper exhibition that was on. Working with artist Jeanette Orrell, the group then set about creating their own wallpapers designs and executing them onto plain wallpaper, using a variety of printing techniques.
They will work in metalwork with Angharad Jones next, welding and creating kinetic sculptures. Finally, they will work with Lisa Carter, exploring the use of inks and oils.
