Artist Lisa Carter is running a series of six workshops for our Criw Celf Bach group in Denbighshire. For the first session, early in January, she taught the group how to use charcoal and they created wonderful little scenes made from wood, balloons and little plastic animals … which they then drew in charcoal and pencil, adding dashes of colour for effect. They looked wonderful and it was great to see how the different members responded to the brief so individually.
For her second session, in February, Lisa concentrated on collage and the Criw Celf Bach members were totally engaged in creating strange hybrids from the photocopies and magazines that Lisa had brought along as materials. You can see a selection of the pieces they created in the photographs.
