Our Year 8 Criw Celf group also got to work with Ruth Thomas, again meeting in Trefnant Village Hall and exploring images of the beautiful Clwydian Ranges. Like the Year 7 group before them, each member produced several final printed pieces, with landscapes being overlaid with stencils of natural objects, or even second landscapes. There are some very beautiful images and a number of them will be displayed in Loggerheads Country Park in July, when youth members of NEW Dance will be inspired by the work of Criw Celf and by the Clwydian Ranges themselves, and produce a new dance piece to perform in the setting. Year 7’s work will also be on display at the same time, as the Clwydian Range celebrates 30 years since it was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
