Criw Celf Denbighshire - Year 8 group

Denbighshire’s Year 8 group re-convened on Saturday 25 October, ready for another year of exciting masterclasses. Our first session was at Ruthin Craft Centre, with artist Luned Rhys Parri. Following introductions, we visited the Julie Arkell exhibition in the gallery, where the group viewed and discussed her work. We then went back to the Education Room, where, with help and advice from Luned, members set about creating their own figures, using a variety of sculptural techniques including papier mache. Luned is off to Patagonia next week to teach art in some Welsh schools there – hope you have a wonderful time Luned! Criw Celf group 1, I look forward to seeing you in Bodelwyddan Castle on Saturday 6 December, when we will be working with Catrin Webster, focussing on oil painting.
