This year looks to be a very busy year for Criw Celf Gwynedd.
A total of four Criw Celf Bach groups have now been established; two of which meet at the Gwynedd Museum & Gallery, Bangor with artists Eleri Jones and Lisa Eurgain Taylor leading the sessions. Another group meets regularly at Oriel Plas Glyn y Weddw and another at Theatr Harlech where artists Therese Urbanska and Nia Lloyd Roberts deliver the workshops. Criw Celf Bach sessions have been devised for children aged between 7 and 11 years old; sessions offer the children an opportunity to explore and experiment with a variety of techniques, themes and materials. An exhibition of the children’s artwork will be held during the summer months, please keep an eye on this website for the latest details.
Criw Celf also offers a programme of master classes for children and young people in year 7 – 9. Each Criw Celf member is invited to attend a series of six master classes in the company of various professional artists. The classes take place at a variety of creative and inspirational locations such as galleries, arts centres and country parks.
We occasionally arrange trips to interesting venues. This year we are planning to arrange a trip to visit some of the artists studios and workshops which will be open to the public during this years Helfa Gelf Art Trail event.
